Opening times: Denbies Wine Estate is open all year (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day). The visitor centre opens from 9am to 5.30pm, while the Wine Library Brasserie & Bar at Denbies Vineyard Hotel is open into the evening.
Pair your visit to Denbies with an artisanal experience. Away from the activity of the main winery, their Vineyard Hotel has sweeping views across the avenues of vines. The Vineyard Restaurant tasting includes: flight of four of Denbies award-winning premium wines; mixed local charcuterie and cheese platter with bread basket (dietary/vegan option available on request); detailed tasting notes.
Visit Denbies Wine Estate for an extra special ride on Santa’s Express train which includes a special ”passport” from Santa, a ride through the vineyard on the Santa Express with the Reindeer & Elf game, and a gift at the end of your ride.

Opening times: Albury Organic Vineyard is open on Saturdays and Sundays, 11am to 4pm, through to December. Enjoy a glass of bubbly in their tasting room or on the patio, and order delicious cheese and charcuterie boards.
Enjoy a talk and tasting of Albury Estate sparkling wines with a member of the Albury team, followed by a glass of your choice accompanied by a selection of English cheese. Admire views from our tasting room over the vineyard or take a stroll amongst the vines before or after your tasting. Tastings take place outside when the weather permits, otherwise inside the tasting room.
Explore the art of festive hosting with the artisans of Silent Pool Gin and Albury Vineyard. Enjoy English sparkling wine and Silent Pool Gin served with Christmas canapés and learn how to pair festive food and drinks, so you're ready to wow your guests this Christmas. Meet in the vineyard tasting room, where you'll be introduced to three exceptional sparkling wines, then it's a short walk to the Silent Pool Distillery to sample festive gin cocktails.
Working with Willow is both a relaxing and mindful activity. Join local willow-weaver Lorraine for either a full-day or half-day Christmas Willow Craft Workshop to make a decoration for your home you can be proud of. Each workshop includes a glass of Albury Estate sparkling wine, all materials to make your crafts will be provided on the day and you can take your finished work home.

Opening times: While High Clandon’s open day season is finished for 2025, it is possible to book private tours for groups of at least four people throughout the year.
High Clandon host coveted Truffle and Cuvée Experience Days every winter, where visitors can learn about the mystique of truffles, the rare and delicious underground fungi, feel the excitement of the trained dogs unearthing them with their infallible noses in the secretly located truffle orchard. Both dates have already sold out.
Visit High Clandon Estate Vineyard for inspired festive shopping to wrap up your Christmas for the wine-lovers and loves in your life. High Clandon’s Glass Barn will sparkle with Christmas inspiration on Saturday December 6 and Sunday December 7, 11am to 4pm. Sip sparkling cuvée, savour a mince pie, shop for arts, crafts and foodie favourites.
The atmospheric Glass Barn at High Clandon has beautiful views of the garden, wildflower meadow, the Surrey Hills and even the London skyline on a good day. But did you know it’s also available for private hire? It’s the perfect venue for smaller gatherings, such as an intimate wedding, birthday celebration or company gathering.

Enjoy Chilworth’s English sparkling and rosé wines at The Watch House. On their vineyard tours, you can see and learn about our vines, their growth cycle and the winemaking process, as well as hearing about the fascinating history of Chilworth Manor. It's the perfect spot to try their wines together with some specially prepared pairing bites.
Chilworth Manor Vineyard’s tasting barn, The Watch House, has spectacular views over the vineyard and St Martha’s Hill and makes a memorable setting for special occasions. The barn is fully equipped with a professional kitchen, perfect for creating celebratory meals to enjoy with their sparkling and rosé wines.
Christmas at Chilworth has come a long way since the children used to sell 50 trees in front of the house. Embrace the Christmas spirit amongst the vines, where you can wander at your leisure, enjoy a complimentary glass of Glögg or hot chocolate on arrival and soak in the atmosphere by the fire pit.
An enchanting corner of the Surrey Hills, Tanhurst Estate is only minutes away from the National Trust’s beautiful Rhododendron Wood and Leith Hill Place – the childhood home of composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. Tanhurst Estate opens its Vineyard Café to the public on Saturdays and Sundays, 10am to 4pm. Their dog-friendly café serves up delicious coffees, cakes, sausage rolls and other goodies - as well as their fantastic wines, of course.

Fall in love with one of Tanhurst Estate’s four beautiful holiday cottages and barns, each offering a unique holiday experience. For a cosy stay in a historic cottage, why not try Tanhurst Cottage or Little Birketts Cottage, both are pet friendly and have large secure gardens. Or for a taste of luxury, stay in one of the converted timber framed barns, Great Foxmoor or Little Foxmoor, with breathtaking views across the Surrey/Sussex Weald to the South Downs National Park.
Opening times: Greyfriars Vineyard is open for Cellar Door Shop wine sales, self-guided tours and online order collections on the following days/times: Wednesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm; and Sunday, 12noon to 4pm.
Greyfriars Vineyard’s tour with wine tasting takes visitors on a guided walk through the beautiful vineyards finishing with a tutored tasting of several award-winning sparkling and still wines. The tastings normally take place on the vineyard viewing deck, making the most of the autumn sunshine, or back in the Tasting Room when the weather isn’t so friendly.
It's time to bring out the Magnums! Visit Greyfriars Vineyard on Friday November 21 and discover the fascinating world of Magnums, while tasting a selection of Greyfriars sparkling wines perfect for the festive season!
Visit Greyfriars Vineyard on Friday November 14 for a unique wine tasting event organised by the Greyfriars Team and co-hosted by the talented Rosie from Towpath Kitchen. Sample a variety of sparkling wines from their collection and experience the art of pasta making guided by Rosie.
Throughout the year, Vineyards of the Surrey Hills also collectively exhibit at
selected local food and drink exhibitions and festivals in Surrey.
