Afternoon: Denbies Wine Estate
Return towards Dorking and spend the afternoon at Denbies. Enjoy lunch, join a winery tour or wine tasting, explore the vineyard trails and browse the estate's wine shop.
Travel tip: Denbies is within walking distance of the main Dorking stations, while Tanhurst requires a longer onward journey, making a taxi advisable.
For those with a sense of adventure: Why not explore the Surrey Hills on foot or by bike? The Leith Hill Greenway offers a scenic route through the countryside between the Tanhurst and Denbies areas, with beautiful views along the way. Allow plenty of time for the journey and check your route in advance, as you'll need to follow connecting paths or roads to reach the vineyards themselves.
